Unisys to expand services to include unlimited storage as well as mobile device management

RESTON, Va., December 18, 2017 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced it was selected to provide Google G Suite Enterprise, a cloud-based email and collaboration solution, to help the 5,300 federal employees and contractors at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) perform the agency's record management duties to safeguard and preserve U.S. government records.

This firm fixed price contract will run five years, with one base year followed by four option years, and is worth approximately $10 million if all options are exercised. The competitive award builds on a previous five-year contract, awarded in 2012, under which Unisys provided similar cloud-based services.

The new contract also expands the services Unisys will provide to include unlimited storage and other new features in Google G Suite Enterprise, as well as continuing to provide support for records management and mobile device management. Unisys will continue to assist NARA in all aspects of installing the solution and integrating it with the agency's records management system.

The award represents the latest success for Unisys as a leading provider of cloud-based services to federal government agencies. In October 2017, Unisys announced it was selected to provide services and support to move the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's high-performance computing operations to the cloud. In addition, the Department of the Interior worked with Unisys to become the first federal agency to move its financial management system to the cloud. Unisys also helped the U.S. General Services Administration fully transition its email and collaboration system to the cloud, another first for the federal government.

"Unisys looks forward to continuing our work to give National Archives employees access to the benefits and efficiencies of the cloud," said Chris Bauer, group vice president, civilian agencies, Unisys Federal. "Under this new contract, we will extend their ability to collaborate and to access the records management tools they need to achieve their mission as the nation's records keeper while saving money for the government."

Unisys offers a wide range of software-led solutions for government agencies around the world. Earlier this year, Unisys launched Digital Government Accelerators, a new family of IT services and software designed to help government agencies speed up their transitions toward providing digital services.
