Contract award includes services leveraging the ServiceNow enterprise cloud platform for management and automation of IT service requests

BLUE BELL, Pa., September 19, 2016 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced a three-year contract with Empresa de Servicios Públicos de Heredia (ESPH), a state-owned company who provides services for public lighting, telecommunication, sewage, drinking water supply and electricity in Costa Rica. As a first step, Unisys will be providing endpoint management support to approximately 320 branches, over 2,800 types of computer equipment, 500 corporate servers and more than 400 network elements of great importance for ESPH.

The solution provides an automated method for the provisioning and support of key equipment, overall IT service request automation of every request, the generation of service level management reports, and alerting management to potential breeches of SLA levels.

This is one of the first joint client engagements entered into by and between Unisys and ServiceNow® following the official notice of their partnership in Latin America. With the support of Unisys and ServiceNow, ESPH will address aspects such as network equipment configuration, managing approximately 3,000 users of smart devices; SLA handling and generation of deviations; regular reports and statistics; generation of areas for inventory and staff turnover; as well as the use of a database for IT and service providing companies, among others.

"We are confident that with Unisys support we have the certainty of having an efficient service that enables us to keep working in order to meet new challenges through a new business strategy, which opens up opportunities to competitiveness and growth based on commitments with our clients by offering them high quality services and continuity," said Johann Montero Araya, CIO of ESPH.

"It is a great pleasure to be able to cooperate with ESPH in their business operations. We are sure that with our solutions and experience, ESPH will offer its clients high quality standard and efficient services," said Fernando Schaeffer, Latin America vice president of sales, Unisys.
